ARPA Phoenix
Digital Funding Distribution
The Family Assistance Resource (FAR) Program and the Workforce Wraparound Tuition/Apprentice Program, both funded by the American Rescue Plan Act, collectively distributed $17.5 million to city and county residents via prepaid debit cards. The FAR Program provided $12 million to 1,000 families in Phoenix, aimed at easing economic hardships during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Workforce Wraparound Program is ongoing, allocating $5.5 million to support individuals enrolled in Maricopa County Community Colleges, assisting with transportation, personal expenses, and childcare, enhancing educational and employment opportunities during the pandemic.
